Marjorie Ruth Stonesifer's Obituary
Margie Ruth McGaugh Stonesifer, age 88, of Winslow, AR, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020, at the Arkansas Veterans Home in Fayetteville, AR.
Margie was born near St. Paul, AR, to Hester Marie Ogden and was the oldest of five children. She attended West Fork High School. Ray and Margie were married on September 7, 1950, and established their home near Brentwood, AR, surrounded by their families. Ray preceded Margie in death in 2003.
Margie retired from Shakespeare in Fayetteville and then went back to work in the West Fork School System where she was able to be around her grandchildren and share in their daily accomplishments. She was a loving mother and a ray of sunshine to all those around her.
Also preceding her in death was a son Billy Ray Stonesifer and a brother Chester McGaugh.
Margie is survived by her children Donna Bloyed (Gilbert) of Fayetteville, AR, Patty Cater of Van Buren, AR, Betty Stonesifer of Bentonville, AR; a daughter in law Janice Stonesifer of Farmington, AR; brothers Pleasant David McGaugh of Marble Falls, TX, Franklin McGaugh of West Fork, AR; a sister Mary Distler of Annapolis, MD; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at Nelson Berna Funeral Home. Visitation is from 1:00 p.m. until service time Thursday, at Nelson Berna. Margie will be laid to rest next to Ray in Woolsey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. Jude Children Research Hospital, P.O.
