Martha Jean Rowden's Obituary
Martha Jean Rowden, age 90, passed away peacefully Monday, November 29th at Innisfree Nursing Home in Rogers. Born in Hugoton, KS on April 7th, 1931 to Ruben and Lottie Richardson. She married Clifford Dean Rowden on July 24th, 1948 in Tucumcari, NM.
Dean and Jean loved the outdoors, hiking and traveling throughout their marriage, and when Dean passed, Jean carried on her love of traveling with her twin sister, Joan. They traveled to places like Yellowstone, Yosemite, and Alaska and would spend their time exploring and working in the National Parks.
Left to honor Jean and remember her love are her two children, Mike (Laura) Rowden and David (Cindy) Rowden, two grandchildren, Josh (Sarah) Rowden and Karlie (Alan) Aiken, three great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Havyn and Charlotte, and her sister, Mary Joan Gregory.
Preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and her husband.
The Rowden family would like to extend our gratitude to the staff of Innisfree Nursing Home for their loving care and attentiveness during her stay and final hours.
Internment will be at Benton County Memorial Park on Thursday, December 9th at 1:00 PM.
