We are SO saddened that we ALL have lost Mary Ann! She was such a dear, and supportive, energetic, dynamic, driving force for the good of our communities, our U of A, her church, etc. I was a freshman with Mary Ann; we lived in Washington Hall (formerly the Old Washington Hotel on the square in Fayetteville"). We have remained "connected and friends" ALL of these MANY years. She was the quintessential "Hostess with the Mostest"!!!!!!! As time passes, we will miss her - even more!!! "Vaya con Dios", my dear, dear friend!!!! Anne Hart Allen
Mary Ann was such a wonderful Lady!! Strong, smart, decisive, and a mentor to all. She always had something nice to say to me and I appreciated her so much for all she did for me and our family. Mary Ann will be missed and my thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
I worked as an intern for Mary Ann during my senior year of college 1989-1990. Working for her was truly a privilege. Even all these years later, I still remember so many of her words of wisdom. I also remember how incredibly generous she was to me. My sincerest condolences to Reed and her family. You are in my prayers.

Heartfelt condolences to Reed and his family. Mary Ann was an outstanding economist and entrepreneur, a true pioneer and role model. We will miss her very much. There are so many points of light she created in her lifetime. We are all better for knowing her, and building on her great spirit.

Our sincerest condolences to Reed and family. Mary Ann was an exceptional person - a great advisor, friend and mentor. Patti and I have many fond memories of shared experiences from Christmas parties and economic forecast dinners to cracking crab at Red Lobster and discussing New York City itineraries. This, along with University and Washington Regional events, and friends in common from Fort Smith and Pocahontas, contributed to conversations that were always enlightening and entertaining. We will always appreciate it and the many other kindnesses shown to us. May Mary Ann now rest in peace, as we send positive thoughts and prayers to Reed and family.
