Mary Edna Bailey's Obituary
Mary Edna Bailey, of Farmington, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at 82 years old. She was born in Fayetteville, AR on May 4, 1943, to Richard Lee and Minneford Frances (Kitchel) Holt. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband E. Clell Holland; husband Leo Bailey, Sr.; brothers Richard Holt, Jr., Wiley B. (Joe) Holt, Wesley Holt, Wayne Holt, and Melvin Holt; and sisters Sue Holt and Bertha Faye Holt.
Mary worked for IGA and Colliers, where many came to know her. She enjoyed coloring and crocheting, and at 81 years old she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She was known for her big, warm hugs. She loved her family, and her children were her trophies in life. She was a loving mom and her family was everything to her in life. She always enjoyed big family reunions. Her family is now looking forward to that next Big family reunion with her that is to come.
Mary is survived by her children Gary Dean Holland & Vickie, Shari Witherspoon & Rick, Ross Bailey & Susan, Steven Bailey & Linda, Barbara Timmons & Frank, and Leon Bailey & Sandra; grandchildren Gary Witherspoon & Christy, Catherine Witherspoon-Dunn & Jared, Trey Bailey, and Davis Bailey; great grandchildren Emma Sumner, Sophie Dunn, Garrett Witherspoon, and Brynlee Witherspoon; brother Don Holt; sister Anna Boudreaux & Phil; and many other nieces, nephews, and family members who will miss her.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at Farmington Cemetery 11:00 am Monday, June 16, 2025 in Farmington, Arkansas followed by a Celebration of Life, from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Old School House at Mount Comfort, 3816 West Mount Comfort Road, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
