Mary E. Rowan's Obituary
Mrs. Mary E. Rowan, 88 of Fayetteville, AR, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2007, in her home. She was born April 17, 1918, in Monroe City, MO to George L. and Vivian (Clark) Turner.
She graduated from Northwest Missouri State College in Maryville, MO. She was a retired teacher and former social worker with the Mattie Rhodes Society of Kansas City. Mrs. Rowan was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority and a longtime member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald B. Rowan, former Vice-President and General Counsel of Kansas City Life Insurance Company.
She is survived by one son, Roger Rowan of Prairie Village, KS, one daughter, Cindy Glover of Shell Knob, MO, three grandchildren, Jerry Rowan and Sally Rowan, both of Kansas City, MO, and Megan Murphy of Fayetteville, AR, and two great-grandchildren, Jack Murphy and Mary Katherine Murphy.
