Mary Joan Gregory's Obituary
Mary Joan (Richardson) Gregory, age 92, of Rogers quietly passed from this life at home on February 24, 2024. She was born April 7, 1931, in Hugoton Kansas to Ruben E. and Lottie (Bell) Richardson. Joan was preceded in death by both parents, sisters Edith Nash, Elizabeth Burdge and Jean Rowden.
Joan is survived by her daughters, Patricia Sharum of Rogers, Sheila Mitchell and husband Dale of Highfill; three grandchildren, Candice Wilhite of Tulsa, OK, Desiree Quinn of Hot Springs, AR, Casey Rader and wife Cynthia of Sulphur, LA; 10 great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Ahrens and husband Christopher of Tulsa, OK, Charles and Caleb Wilhite of Broken Arrow, OK, Emily Osborn and husband Lucas of Broken Arrow, OK, Alyssa, Anna, Elijah, Maxwell, Micah and Adalee Rader of Sulphur, LA; three great-great grandchildren, Copelan Wilhite, Elijah and Eleanor Ahrens.
Joan lived various places through-out her life. She spent the last 45 years in Rogers AR. She loved to backpack, hike, water ski, ride motorcycles, travel. She retired from her accounting job at Hudson Foods in 1996 and spent her retirement working at various National Parks, rug hooking, quilting, taking trips and outings with family.
At her time of death, Joan was under in-home hospice care with Circle of Life.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held 11:00 a.m. March 9, 2024, at First Baptist Church Highfill.
