Mary Clare Groeneman's Obituary
Mary Clare Groeneman passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026 peacefully surrounded by her loving family in Rogers, Arkansas. She was born in Waco, Texas on December 26, 1928 to David Francis and Jenny (Puckett) Wilson.
Mary was an Accountant for many years retiring with Conoco Oil Company in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She and Warren enjoyed many years of retirement camping and traveling all 50 of the United States as well as several other countries of the world.
Mary, happy, smart and kind, was known for her big smile and contagious giggle. She was an avid Bridge Player, attended several Bible studies, and volunteered her time at the Friendly bookstore as well as with the less privileged. Mary was a people person with an abundant life filled with family and friends.
Mary is survived by her children David, Gail, Mark (Terrie) Groeneman and Mark (Tammy) Leen, Cathy (Dave) Schmidt, brother Harold Wilson, Sister Korin Henderson. Mary and Warren had 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 3 great great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Warren Groeneman, her soon Mike Leen and granddaughter Trisha Carr.
A visitation will be held at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home located at 100 South 28th Street in Rogers, Arkansas on Monday January 19 from 11:00 am to 12 noon. Services will be held immediately afterwards at the Funeral Home. To view a livestream of the service, please visit the link on her obituary page. A graveside service will be held at the Blackwell, Oklahoma cemetery on Tuesday, January 20 at 1:00 pm. The family asks that if you are so moved, donations may be made in Mary’s memory to Bland Chapel, Circle of Life Hospice, and /or The Friendly Bookstore all in Rogers, Arkansas.
