Mary Sue Lawrence's Obituary
Mary “Sue” Lawrence, age 86, passed away Saturday February 4, 2023, in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born October 4, 1936, to Frank and Kathleen “Joan” (Baker) Willard in London, England where she grew up.
She moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1964 where she meet her husband Charles “Tod” Lawrence. They were married and had one daughter. They remained in Los Angeles for 30 years until Tod retired. Sue was a devoted wife and mother. They moved several times during retirement living in both Flagstaff, AZ and Ft Bragg, CA. Sue had no trouble making friends wherever she went and loved to host large gatherings. She was an excellent pastry chef and cook. She loved riding horses and playing tennis. She was an excellent gardener with a true green thumb. They settled in Rogers AR in 2014 to be closer to their daughter and grandchildren. Her long list of friends will remember her infectious British accent, her quick wit, her amazing stories of a life well lived and her vibrant, fearless approach to life.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents. She’s survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Tod; her daughter Amy Elliott (Steve); brother John Willard (Janet); grandchildren Piper Elliott and Grayson Elliott; extended family and a wealth of friends.
A reception and celebration of life will be held from 6pm – 8pm on February 22nd, at Pinnacle Country Club, 3 S. Clubhouse Dr, Rogers AR. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Lung Cancer Research Foundation can be made in her honor. Lung Cancer Research Foundation
