I am Mary Pat's cousin (daughter of Ruth and Floyd Wlaters). I have such fond memories of our youth and spending many hours together playing. I am so happy to have been able to stay in touch by way of technology. I extend my deepest sytmpathy to her family.
I was your mother's practicum supervisor many years ago at Lincoln Elementary in Wichita and really enjoyed having her as a social work student. She was such a caring, enthusiastic woman who had a gift with the children at our school and loved every minute there. We were all quite fond of her. I heard from her a few times when she lived iin Oregon and knew she had suffered a terrible fall and eventually moved to
Arkansas to be near Mitchel and his family. She adored you boys and talked fondly and proudly of you. I am deeply saddened to hear of her death at such a young age...we were only eight months apart. I just want you to know we at Lincoln just loved Mary Pat and I know her patients at Comcare did so when she worked for that agency as I used to hear her name from some I saw in my part time job at the Crisis Center. Please accept my deepest sympathy,,

Mary Pat was a special friend to Marilyn. We enjoyed our time with her and Mitch the past year. Sorry to hear about her passing, but know it has not been easy for her the past few years. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
Mitchell & Travis. We are all thinking of you and praying for you guys. Was very sad to hear of your Mom passing. She was a good person and will be missed. We all hope and pray God be with you during this time. Please know that your Anderson family loves you!
We were sorry to read in the Kansan about Mary Pat's passing. Glad we got to visit with her a little at Marcheta's funeral recently in Newton. Will be thinking of her sister Kathy and her family in this time as well as Mary Pat's children. All will miss her.
Many lives – including mine – are richer because she shared her experience, strength, and hope. Her spirit lives on. Thank you, Mary Pat.
