Mary Jane Turner's Obituary
Mary Jane Turner, age 90, of Elkins passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 31, 1932, in Patrick, Arkansas to Martha Elizabeth (Combs) Keys. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lee Turner; her son, Bud Turner; two sisters, Ann Couch and Billie Barber; and three brothers, William Keys Robert Keys, and Don Keys.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Joyce Bell, and husband Mike of Elkins; one son, David turner of Elkins; two sisters, Betty Patrick of Patrick, and Georgia Brown of Elkins; four grandchildren; Lora (Ray), Casey (Phaedra), Ty (Lainie), Todd (Valan); 9 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The kitchen was always open, a pie, cake, or cookies on the counter. At family gatherings, her chicken and dumplings were everyone’s request and mac & cheese was a Sunday dinner must for the grandkids.
There was always a loving heart at that stove and a smile at her table.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Whitehouse Community Church with burial to follow at Whitehouse Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
