Mary Florence Wheat's Obituary
On Thursday, February 11, 2021, Mary Florence Wheat, loving friend, and mother of 4 children, passed away at the age of 83, in Fayetteville. Mary was born on March 16, 1937, in Arab, Alabama, to David and Lillian (Odom) Lewis.
Mary had a passion for gardening and loved caring for others. She frequently volunteered at the nursing home and was always willing to help those in need. Her laughter was contagious, and her bright smile would light the room. Her love of life and her ability to see good in everyone is what many will remember most. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband, Emmitt Wheat, and her daughter Cathy Wilson. She is survived by her three sons, John Stanley Wilson, Jr. and wife Debbie of Jonesboro, James Wilson and wife Janean of Tennessee, and Reagan Afflick and wife Allison of Fayetteville, and five grandchildren, John Wilson, III, Kayla Wilson, Hayleigh Wilson, Christopher Wilson, and Mary Charles Afflick.
A private family placement of cremated remains will take place at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
