Matthew Tyler Shinall's Obituary
Matthew Tyler Shinall, age 31, of Fayetteville passed away Friday, March 24, 2023.
Tyler was born February 26, 1992, in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Brian Shinall and Juli Muruaga. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Brent Shinall, Sr., and his grandmother, Judy Overton of Springdale. Tyler attended Vertical Community Church of Fayetteville.
Tyler’s smile would light up the room. His quick wit, sense of humor and caring heart made him an absolute joy to be around. He cared so much for all his family and buddies and always kept them in his heart no matter where they all were.
Tyler was an avid Razorback fan. No matter which sport, he would take every chance he had to watch the Hogs with his buddies or Steve and Nan. Spending time with his Aunt Christy was also fun and very important to Tyler.
It was hard to keep Tyler indoors. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with friends and his grandfather Larry and Uncle Brent. Tyler could often be found on a golf course. Whether traditional golf or Frisbee golf, it didn’t matter as long as he was having fun with friends. While being outdoors on a regular basis for many years, he was able to build quite a collection of arrowheads along the way.
Tyler played baseball for the Purple Dogs where he loved to compete and built many long-lasting relationships with his teammates. His humor often led him to tease his dad and uncles for being from Chickendale which would most often spur a healthy and humorous retaliation and debate! He also would love to trade jokes with his Big Papa Brent and Mary Frances.
The family would like to thank all of his close buddies for being there for him along the way. The caring support you guys provided goes way beyond the meaning of friendship and it is much appreciated and will never be forgotten.
Tyler is survived by his mother, Juli Muruaga of Fayetteville, his father, Brian Shinall and wife Lauren of Amarillo, Texas, four sisters; Lexi Crowne of Fayetteville, Linzy Sims of Springdale, Brinkley Shinall, and Brynn Shinall of Amarillo; his grandmother Mary Frances Shinall of Rogers, his maternal grandmother, Debbie Lee Tanner and husband Steve of Fayetteville, maternal grandfather Larry Muruaga of Siloam Springs, his aunt, Christy Muruaga of Fayetteville, three uncles; Pat Shinall and wife Jan of Springdale, Brent Shinall Jr. and wife Claudia of Houston, Brent Muruaga and wife Janet of Siloam Springs and numerous other cousins and family members.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Fellowship Fayetteville from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the foyer, 3447 AR 112, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
