Maureen Reed's Obituary
Maureen Elizabeth Reed, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. She was born on August 30, 1953, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Don and Betty Seagram Hendricks. She is preceded in death by her father, Don Hendricks; and her brother, Tommy Hendricks. Maureen loved music, played guitar, and had an amazing voice. She enjoyed going for coffee with her “coffee-mate”, Mel, knitting in the quieter moments. One of her passions was travel and spent the last few years celebrating her birthdays in New York City. She loved most of all to spend her time with her family and her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Mel Reed; five children, Aimee Duca and husband Eric of Rogers, Matthew Myers of Rogers, Michael Myers of Springdale, daughter in law Rebecca Myers, Joseph Reed and wife Tracy of Parker, Colorado, and Jacob Reed and wife Kara of Houston, Texas; her seven brothers and sisters, Danny Hendricks, Christine Hendricks, Sally Hendricks, Patrick Hendricks, Peter Hendricks, Mary Taylor, and Laura Hendricks; her ten grandchildren, Blake Duca, Anna Reed, Quentin Reed, Alyssa Reed, Carson Duca, Mikayla Myers, Trevor Reed, Jaeden Reed, Jaxon Myers, and Kaelyn Reed; and one great-grandchild, Eden Joseph Reed. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Christian Life Cathedral Church at 1285 Millsap Rd, Fayetteville, AR 72703.
