Mauritta 'Marty' Lee Gray's Obituary
Mauritta Lee “Marty” Gray, age 64 of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born December 10, 1948 in Elk City, Oklahoma to parents Maurice W. White and Wilma E. (Adams) White. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Harry G. Gray.
She was the owner of Marty’s Travel in Fayetteville. She had a passion for traveling, gardening, playing accordion music and attending concerts all over the world. She also loved visiting cathedrals throughout Europe. Something that she was proud of was having the opportunity to meet President Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalyn. She was an avid Bridge player as well as a master gardener.
Marty is survived by her sister, Charlotte Leininger and husband David, of Bentonville, AR; niece, Sydney Worrall and husband Tim, of Fayetteville, AR; nephew Spencer Leininger of Bentonville, AR; and great niece and great nephew Gracie and Brendan Kiger, of Fayetteville.
Marty leaves behind her beloved canine companions, Henry the bulldog and Wally the schnauzer, and many wonderful friends.
A memorial service is planned for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Moore’s Chapel, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to The Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks, P.O. Box 10407, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72703, and Washington Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 356, Fayetteville, Arkansas, 72702.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Moore’s Chapel, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
