Megan Morris McEnroe's Obituary
Megan Morris McEnroe passed away Saturday November 4th after a hard fought battle against breast cancer. She was 38 years old. Megan was born on July 5th, 1985 in Dallas, Texas. She attended Lewisville High School where she found a passion for performing in the school’s color guard. Megan then became a third generation graduate of the University of Arkansas in 2008 – continuing the legacy of her parents and grandparents. Megan graduated with a degree in Information Systems, and following in her mother’s footsteps, became a programmer. However, while working for J.B. Hunt, Megan forged her own path. She became a leader at the company, and went on to found their User Experience department – changing the way the company approached software development.
Megan was an unwaveringly selfless human being, always putting others wants and needs before her own. She took pride in practicing empathy, and was endlessly supportive of others, bringing balance to her relationships with friends and family. Megan had a voracious appetite for reading. As a young girl under her covers reading late into the night, or as an adult devouring entire books over a weekend, there was no stopping Megan from reading – not even the loss of function in her hands could slow her down as she simply replaced physical books with audio versions and continued on.
Megan will be remembered as a loving mother, an irreplaceable, steadfast wife and partner, and a faithful friend. She is survived by her husband, Derek McEnroe; son, Grayson McEnroe; mother, Debbie Morris; father, Ron Morris; her brothers Gavin and Kyle Morris; sister-in-law, Andrea Morris; nephews Dillon and Bryce Morris; and grandmother Mary Gutierrez. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 10:00AM at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home of Rogers.
In lieu of flowers, Megan requests donations to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation https://www.bcrf.org/
