It was so shocking to hear of Mekin's death. I know Ted would have made it to the funeral if we would have known about it in time. It was totally understanable that we were hard to reach though.

Mekin will be missed and I always enjoyed talking with him about his motorcycle adventures. The papers and the news have made him sound like a mad man but if they only knew him they would realize it was because he loved his wife and didn't want to loose her and he made a bad decision that costed him his life . I wish his family well and my thoughts are with them for their loss. Work won't be the same without him.
