Melva June Ward Hency Harris' Obituary
Melva June Ward Hency Harris, age 83, passed away Wednesday June 18, 2014 in Fayetteville. She was born June 30, 1930 in Carthage, Missouri, the daughter of Lawrence S. and Alta Ward and Otaline Goade and Grant Pratsman. She was preceded in death by her husband James E. Harris, and her sister Evelyn Curry.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Elkins.
She is survived by four children Nelson Verl Hency Jr. and his wife Diana Jo of Farmington, Arkansas, Gayle Otaline Teague of Fayetteville, Arkansas, David Sherman Hency and his wife Marcy of Grove, Oklahoma, and Elayne I. James of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one sister Imogene Hyatt of Fresno, California; Fourteen grandchildren Gayla, Travis, Alexis, Tracie, Amber, Amanda, Verl III, Tara, Eden, ,Nicholas, Kyle and Corey, and 21 great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 1:00 PM Monday June 23, 2014 at Moore’s Chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Willard Walker Hospice Home.
