I loved painting Starry Night with young Micah Van Gogh. He was so quiet while painting. I didn’t know if he was shy or focused. Then I heard you murmuring encouragement and instructions to him. I came to his side of the table to see his progress. Surprisingly good start, especially for a young one, and I knew then that he had the artist seed in him from his mom. I can’t wait to see what he will do in Paradise with forever to learn. (Perhaps, if we ask nicely, Van Gogh himself will turn up to our painting parties and give us pointers.) When we’d left that night I’d asked Randy if he’d enjoyed it. He’d said he did, but the reason why had nothing to do with art. He’d said, “Yes. It was fun. Micah and I Had a really nice conversation. He’s a really nice young man.”
