Michael Edward Harrell's Obituary
Michael Edward Harrell, 44 of Fayetteville, AR passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010 in Fayetteville. He was born October 26, 1966 in Orange County, CA to Larry and Judy (Wallace) Harrell.
He was a former corporate attorney and was presently employed with Legal Aid of Arkansas. He attended Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville.
He was a 1989 graduate of Hendrix college. Mike attended the University of Denver School of Law and received his Juris Doctorate and Masters Business Administration in 1993. He was involved in contract law and energy management field for several years. He was assistant general counsel for Convergent Communications of Colorado. Most currently he was employed as an attorney for Legal Aid of Arkansas assisting residents of Benton and Washington county with civil legal needs.
Mike was a triathlete and a marathon runner. His proudest accomplishments were completing the 2000 Pikes Peak Marathon and 2004 Miles for Mic swim-a-thon raising money for The Children’s Hospital of Denver.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 21 years, Melissa Harrell, AR, one son; Michael Edward (Mic) Harrell II of the home, one daughter; Margaret Rose (Maggie) Harrell of the home, father; Larry Harrell of Jonesboro, AR, great aunt; Pat Wilson of Tulsa, OK, four nieces, three nephews, and his English bulldog; Finnigan.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, November 22, 2010 at the Great Hall of Central United Methodist Church with Reverend Steve Pulliam officiating. Reception immediately following the service. In lieu of burial, cremation will take place with ash scattering in Colorado Rocky Mountains at a later determined time.
