Michael Alan Franklin's Obituary
Michael Alan Franklin, age 30, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away suddenly Sunday February 6, 2022, in Rogers. He was born March 6, 1991, in Chattanooga, Tennessee the son of Steven Alan Franklin and Katherine Reah (Johnson) Franklin. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Maurice Johnson, paternal aunt Kelly (Franklin) Hauser and cousin Matthew Jones.
Michael and his family relocated from Chattanooga to Lowell AR in 1995. He graduated from Rogers High School in 2009 and was a member of the Rogers High Wrestling team. He attended Northwest Arkansas Community College where he earned his Associates degree in Business Administration. Michael was a proud Sam’s Club associate for over 10 years and was an avid outdoor enthusiast. He loved mountain biking, camping and fishing, whether it be on the War Eagle River, fly fishing below the Beaver Lake dam or while canoeing on the Buffalo River with his buddies. Even though he was afraid of heights, he loved rock climbing and an occasional climb at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch. He enjoyed hanging out with family and friends and making everyone laugh. Michael was kind, thoughtful, generous and fun-loving. He will be dearly missed by all.
Michael is survived by his parents Steve and Kathie Franklin of Rogers, AR, sister Megan (Franklin) Wasilewski, her husband Andrew and one nephew Avery Wasilewski of Ft. Worth TX, grandparents Bob and Jean Franklin of Rogers, grandmother Marsha Johnson of Chandler AZ, aunts and uncles Stacy (Franklin) Jones (and Michael) of North Little Rock, Mark Hauser of Rogers, Michael Johnson of Mesa, AZ, Bryan Johnson (and Jeanette) of Chandler AZ, and cousins Chris Jones of North Little Rock, Brett Hauser and Taylor Hauser of Fayetteville, Brandon Johnson, Kaitlyn Johnson and Madelyn Johnson of Chandler AZ
Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Friday February 11, 2022, at Hunt Chapel in Pinnacle Memorial Gardens in Rogers. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 12, 2022, at Hunt Chapel with burial to follow in Pinnacle Memorial Gardens under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home Rogers. Due to risk with COVID the family request that attendee’s wear mask for all inside events.
