Michael Louis Mawby's Obituary
Michael Louis Mawby, age 84, of Centerton passed away on April 9, 2025. He was born on June 22, 1940, in Rochester, Indiana, to the late Louis Mawby and June Meyers.
He was raised in Gardena, California by his mother and stepfather, June and William Jaycox.
Michael was a man who embraced life's varied opportunities with enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit. His career in sales spanned decades and reflected his ability to connect with people from all walks of life. In the late 1960s, Michael found his footing in the hospitality industry as a Hotel Manager, where his natural charm and attentiveness to guests' needs made him a valued leader.
The 1970s saw Michael venture into liquor sales, where his personable nature and business acumen served him well. Never one to shy away from new challenges, he simultaneously pursued farming during this period. His success was due in part to his sons’ invaluable help on the farm.
Michael's diverse career path continued into the early 1980s with his work in the Aloe Vera industry. His sales experience expanded to include a remarkable variety of fields throughout his working years - from worm farming to car sales, BBQ enterprises to supplemental insurance for the elderly. Michael approached each new venture with the same enthusiasm and adaptability that characterized his approach to life.
He is survived by his sons, Michael Mawby and his wife, Diane of Nebraska, Mark Mawby of Missouri, Matt Mawby and his wife, Marisha of Rogers; grandchildren, Mallory, Madeline, Mitchell, Mason, Morgan, Matthew and Martin; and great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Willow, Caroline, Mack, Olive, and Mia.
