?Aunt Mildred?s Captivating Love?
To know her was to love her
There?s no question in my mind,
For she was a woman that was
The true epitome of the word ?kind?. . .
By all means she was lovely
& Her beauty was an outstanding fact,
As she was always interested in others
& Knew how to apply sincere tact. . .
Little escaped her notice & oft times
She didn?t have to speak a thing,
Just by her nod & smile
A world of wisdom she would bring. . .
& When she laughed she did it
As she shook her head & glanced around
Yes, it was indeed pure pleasure
Whenever she was around. . .
A host of memories linger
From her lifework grand,
For she in many things had
Lent an unyielding helping hand. . .
One was to her family she nurtured
In Arkansas? beautiful land,
& Then there was her devoted service
In varied avenues of love & care so grand. . .
Of course, there are countless more
For those are just to name a few you see- - -
The main thing is the memory
Of Mildred?s captivating love
Will live on through kinfolks like you & me!
