Mitchell (Mitch) Blake Moore's Obituary
Mitchell Blake (Mitch) Moore, born May 14, 1962 in Claremore, Oklahoma, was the youngest son of John Allen (deceased) and Edna Mae Moore. Along with his older brother, Mike, and sister, Michelle, their family moved to Bentonville, Arkansas when Mitch was ten. He called Bentonville his home for the next 50 years.
After graduating from Bentonville High School and attending the University of Arkansas, Mitch went to work for Walmart in their photofinishing center, transitioned to Fuji in 1996, and stayed with Fuji until they closed the center.
In April of 2009, Mitch went to work for Environmental Testing Group, Inc. (ETG) as an analyst. His attention to the detail required by the scientific methods prescribed by environmental regulators made him very good at his job. He was a valuable part of the ETG team until his death, December 11, 2022. He will be greatly missed.
He loved God. Mitch was a Christian and his faith in God guided his life. His faith and its impact on his life were clearly present during his battle with multiple myeloma. He endured two stem cell transplants during the Covid protocols, resting in his faith. He fought the disease with resolve and determination without losing hope and joy.
He loved his family: his parents; his children (Morgan, Madison and Marcus); his grandchildren (Justin and Luna-Mae); his wife (Cindy); her children (Leah and Caitlin); his brother and sister, all of their children and their children’s children. He’d confirm his love and thankfulness for each of them with a special Christmas gift each year. He’d spend days thoughtfully selecting just the right gift, making sure that those special to him had a special gift from him.
He loved hunting. Mitch grew up hunting with his dad and brother, and never lost the bug. He was a skillful and successful hunter. He’d spend weeks preparing for the season, always looking for ways to include young family members in the process. He’d make sure the young ones enjoyed the experience and had every opportunity for success. He treated them like he treated his other friends, always willing to give without concern for what he might get.
Visitation will be held on 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15th, 2022, at Nelson Berna Funeral Home Rogers. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday December 16th, 2022, at First Baptist Church Bentonville.
