Moleane Barenz's Obituary
Moleane Williams Barenz was born in Owls Bend, Missouri August 17, 1933, and died on May 3, 2003, the daughter of Virgil Clinton Williams and Lula Alice Knuckles Williams who preceded her in death. Her family moved to Colorado from Missouri, and then later in life migrated to Arkansas by way of Kansas. She lived in the Springdale, Arkansas Oak Grove Community for over 30 years. In 2002 she moved to Gravette, Arkansas after losing her home to a fire.
She was the mother of and survived by five daughters and son in-laws, Karen and James Grigg of Bentonville, AR, Susan and Bill Edgmon of Gravette, AR, Tamara and Ervin Brandenburg of Jane, MO, Carla Stacy of Tulsa, OK and Sherri and Michael Gillman of Rogers, AR. She had 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and her trusted "Powder Puff Dog Ferocious".
She is survived by four brothers; Paul Williams of Grand Junction, CO, Roy (Gene) Williams of Bunker, MO, Floyd (Tuk) Williams of Naturita, CO, Willard Williams and four sisters Jewell Narramore of Naturita, CO, Oneita Sutherland of Nucla, CO, and Wilma Phillips of Letts, IA. Proceeded in death by her twin brother Gerald (Dank) Williams, brother Denver McCabe, and her sister Christine Meade. She had numerous nieces and nephews living mainly in Colorado and Missouri.
She was an accountant for 29 years, owned her own business Excella-Grow Plants and Gifts, and ran a boarding house. She began exploring her interest in art at the age of 60. In 2000 her painting the "Splattered Irises" was donated to Spring Fest 2000 in Fayetteville. She has also donated and sold a number of her paintings over the last ten years.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ozark Guidance Center c/o P.O. Box 6430, Springdale, AR 72766 or your local Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
Memorial services will be held Friday, May 9, 2003 at 10:00 A.M. in the Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church between Hiwasee and Gravette on Highway 72.
