My heart goes out to Brent, Teresa, Keith, Vicki and the entire Campbell family for the passing of their dear, sweet and beautiful mother, grandmother and great grandmother, June. She was a remarkable woman who in many ways was ahead of her times as she raised two boys as a working, single mom filling them with good and love all the while keeping the house in tip top shape and with her hair always perfectly coifed.
I will always remember eating tuna salad (with sweet relish and hardboiled eggs, which I still love) sandwiches on Wonder Bread on Saturday afternoons in the kitchen of the split-level house on Overcrest after spending the night over and playing basketball at the Boys Club in the morning. Music was also always playing from a stack of 45’s with the Beatles, Jackson 5, Carpenters, Stevie Wonder, Neil Diamond or Gordon Lightfoot coming from the stereo console in the living room.
While her sparkle of light on earth may have dimmed, her light in heaven will continue to shine, as evident through the lives of Brent, Keith, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
With sincerity and love,
Eugene Sekiguchi
