A friend just told me that Monte had passed away. My heart breaks for all of his family and my thoughts and prayers are with you. I knew Monte from school and riding the same school bus out to the country. I'm so sorry for your lose.

It is sad to hear that a former class-mate is gone. Condolences to his family. First met Monte when he moved to the Harrison area and rode my school bus. He was kind to all. Good to read Pastor Harry's writing.
So sorry to hear of Monte's passing. I am another one of the children of Gladys & Armel Widner (distant cousins). I remember growing up thinking Monte was so cool and good looking. He was a bit older than me so I was smitten as a pre teen ha! He was always very nice and respectful to our family. I too was very pleased to hear he had gone by and visited mom when she was still on the farm. I hope the loving memories will carry the family and friends through this difficult period. Like Fran's comments, most of my pleasant memories of Monte were from early in life. Monte and the Widner kids (Dennis, Fran, Mike) often got together, as relatives and neighbors were wont to do in those simpler times. Mom and I talked about many of those memories from long ago. My thoughts and prayers are with the family--if there is anything I can do to help please call on me.
Sad to hear of the loss of Monte. Saw a lot of Monte and the entire Pearson family when growing up but sad to say I lost contact with him as an adult. Have great childhood memories though.Monte came by to see Mom in recent years when she was still on the farm and that meant a lot to her. She wanted me to express her sympathy to the family as well. Daryl and I were very fortunate to have Monte (and Cherry) as our next door neighbors in Fayetteville for several years. We are able to meet the family, enjoy the cooking and the music and I still use a bed warmer that I was given. All wonderful memories of a very nice man. We were glad to know him. We wish his family heartfelt thoughts and prayers in this sad time.

Yes, we are fully confident, and we would rather be away from these earthly bodies, for then we will be at home with the Lord 2 Cor 5:8 Monte, I know you are home with The Lord and heaven is rejoicing with you. That battle with that body is over. I will miss you my friend.. till we will meet again
