Nancy Lillian Ellsworth Johnson's Obituary
Nancy Johnson was born on Jan 9, 1930 in South Bend, Indiana. She went to be with the Lord on May 17, 2014 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
She was predeceased by her mother, Dorothy Davidson Ellsworth, her father, Conrad William Ellsworth, and her granddaughter, Nicole Leonard. She had previously been married to George Nicholas; and to Mickey McKeon, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Johnson of Fayetteville; her brother, Phil Ellsworth of Cedaredge, Colorado; her children: David Nicholas of Fayetteville, Jennifer Leonard of Paradox, Colorado, Joseph Nicholas of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Andrew Nicholas of Paradox, Colorado; grandchildren: Nick Leonard of Portage, Michigan, Jessie DeGroff of Conyers, Georgia, and Jacob Nicholas of Fredericksburg, Virginia; great grandchildren: Cole and Liam Leonard, and Adleigh and Kyler DeGroff.
Born to loving parents, she had an idyllic childhood with many happy days spent among the lakes and woods of southwest Michigan.
Nancy graduated from high school in South Bend, Indiana and attended college in Kalamazoo, MI at Western Michigan College. She was a devoted wife to her husband and a wonderful mother to her children. She loved to cook, to sew, and garden. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and she served as chapter president in Monticello, Illinois. In her later years she took up basket-making and bowling and she was enjoying life. A stroke in 2005 put a stop to most of that, but her husband took good care of her right up to the end.

Graveside services will be 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Fayetteville National Cemetery, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
