Nancy Zola Perry's Obituary
Zola Perry, age 99, died December 9, 2011 in Fayetteville. Zola was born on January 8, 1912 at Crosses, Arkansas to James Murphy and Pearl Salsbury Lacy.
She was a member of Elkins Community Church. She and her husband Fred owned and operated Perry’s Mercantile, which later became Perry’s IGA, then BoMart, in Elkins for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Perry.
She is survived by three daughters: Betty Johnson and husband Ken of Harrison, Arkansas; Margaret Ann Tony and husband Bob of Elkins, Arkansas; and Maria Owens and husband Sam of Springdale, Arkansas, seven grandchildren: Bobby Toney, Jr., Debbie Miller, Missie Bell, Matt P. Owens, Tiffani Jutting, Shawna Cunningham, and Kendell Johnson, and eleven great-grandchildren: Chad, Courtney, Bailey, Parker, Madyson, Alex, Anna, Macy, Abby, Willie, and Jayne. Her caregivers were Betty Goss, Joanna Ridenour, and Sue Carter.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2011 at Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville with burial in Tuttle Cemetery. Rev. Jasper Hankins will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Monday prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to Willard Walker Hospice Home, 325 E. Longview, Fayetteville, Arkansas and Elkins Fire Department, Elkins, Arkansas.
