Neil David Buchanan's Obituary
Neil David Buchanan, 89, passed away September 7, 2025 in Rogers. He was born in Austin, Minnesota to the late John and Daisy (Becker) Buchanan.
Neil had a distinguished career in management at PPG and was known for his tireless work ethic and commitment to excellence. During his many years at PPG, Neil was more than just a manager—he was a mentor, a role model, and a friend to many. His work career also included ten years at the Bekaert Corporation where he embraced mastering new skills and contributing to team efforts.
Neil carried a lifelong love for life’s simple pleasures. Whether he was cheering on his favorite football team, diving into a good book, listening to country music, sneaking a sweet treat, or trying his luck at the blackjack table, he approached everything with enthusiasm and joy. More than anything, Neil cherished time spent with family. He was a devoted husband and father, always ready with a story, a hug, or a helping hand.
Neil leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and connection.
He is survived by his wife, Marcella (Walkowiak) Buchanan of 67 years; his three children, Deborah Hryb, Brian Buchanan, and Kimberly Buchanan; as well as 3 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. Though our hearts are broken, we are comforted by the memories and moments we shared, and by the knowledge that his spirit will continue to guide us.
Rest easy, Neil. The table won’t be the same without you.
In keeping with Neil’s wishes, no services will be held.
