Neil O. Spain's Obituary
Mr. Neil O. Spain, 81 of Springdale, AR passed away Monday, September 25, 2006 in Springdale, AR. He was born May 1, 1925 in Dardenelle, AR to William Egbert and Millie (Mayes) Spain.
He was a former U.S. Navy veteran serving in World War II and a retired navigator for the U.S. Air Force serving in The Vietnam War, a 3rd Degree Master Mason with the Little Spring Masonic Lodge #230 of Hindsville, AR, and a Methodist.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Spain, brother, Cleo Spain, and sister, Dorothy Ashlin.
He is survived by five brothers, John Spain of Hindsville, AR, Robert Spain of Stockbridge, IL, Rick Spain of Limestone, TN, Kirby Spain of Commerce, GA, and Kenneth Spain of Channahon, IL.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 28, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, September 29, 2006 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James D. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Fayetteville National Cemetery with Military Honors.
Memorials may be made to the Fayetteville National Cemetery or to the National Parkinson's Foundation.
