Nita Baker's Obituary
Nita Baker, 76 of Bartlett, TN passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023 in Memphis, TN. She was born and raised in Fayetteville, AR. Her parents were Robert E. “Gene” Sivage and Bonita Imogene “Jean” (Little) Sivage.
She was a graduate of Fayetteville High School and attended both the University of Arkansas and Texas Tech University. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and servant of God. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Memphis.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-six years, Paul Baker, U.S. Air Force Retired Colonel, one son, Derek Baker and wife Jessica of Cordova, TN, one daughter, Danita Seyer and husband Scott of Scottsdale, AZ, and eight grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 18th from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM with a funeral service beginning at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, August 21st at First Assembly of Memphis, 8650 Walnut Grove Road, Cordova, TN 8650. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until service time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Fellowship Assembly of God Church, 1100 E. Rolling Hills Drive Fayetteville, AR 72703 or Heartland Adult and Teen Challenge, 33 North Cleveland Street, Memphis, TN 38104.
