Nolia Ruth Land's Obituary
Nolia Ruth Land, age 92, of Fayetteville passed away Monday October 23, 2023. She is a member of Hyland Park Church in Fayetteville. Was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney E. Land; granddaughter, Kellie Renee Land.
Ruth will always be remembered in many ways, a loving, caring and personable woman. She was always willing to help or support any that needed her. She loved her family, friends, and church. She always had a warm & welcoming smile. She moved from Wichita, KS to Fayetteville in 1948 and graduated from FHS in 1949. She married the love of her life February 24, 1950. After her husband joined the National Guard, she drove herself and followed him to Louisiana and then to Colorado. She returned to Fayetteville and worked at the telephone office at the switchboard while he was in Korea. Later on, she worked at Woodland Junior High School as the counselor’s secretary. She retired & enjoyed spending her time with husband, family, and their church. She will be remembered with love.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Land McNair and John of Fayetteville; son, Rodney P. Land and Carol of Fayetteville, seven grandchildren, Angela DeWitt DeLille and her husband Justin, Tim Land, Tate McNair and his wife Elizabeth, Tess McNair Senecal and her husband Adam, Ryan McNair, Kendra McNair and Daniel McNair; four great grandchildren, Jackson DeLille, Blaykeli McNair, Brayson McNair and Amelia McNair.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Monday October 30, 2023 at Moore’s Chapel. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Tuesday at Hyland Park Church in Fayetteville with burial to follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
