I met Colon while at Kadena AB Okinawa back in 67-68. We were in different jobs, he in missiles and me in air intelligence but we spent many hours together at the airmans club. He was a great guy and wish we would have kept in touch. His name just popped in my head today and I found his obit. RIP buddy.
I just found out Colon is with Jesus. I am so sad for myself, his friends and most of all his family. I worked for Colon over 30 years ago. He was a great friend to me and really helped me be a better leader. Over the past few years his love for Jesus inspired me. He really knew who God is. He always spoke so kindly and affectionately about his family. He was a great boss and friend to me. My life was blessed because of him. Respectfully, Shari

I became aware of Colon in 1956 when I went into Versailles from the country schools to Miss Lampton's 6th grade class. In high school we were together in Miss McDonald's science and biology classes and Mr. Kimpton's chemistry and physics classes. I can still hear Kimpton, as we called him in class, saying, "Otis, try to grow up and amount to something!" Through the years, I have told scores of people how Colon went from pumping gas in Versailles to Senior Vice President of Walmart. I remember his getting his first job as a sales clerk with Walmart in the Clinton store. May memories and our Lord comfort Colon's family and friends during this time.
We will miss you Colon. My heart goes out to the family Be strong and be very very proud!
