Greatest Christian sympathy to all the family at your great loss. Owen was my high school classmate at Concordia, Seward, where I remember him to be reliably friendly, studious, and athletic. We reconnected and I met Maggie after we'd both relocated to and had retired in Virginia, a great joy.

Uncle Owen was a jokester, we were all playing a game of canasta, I was the fortunate one to be sitting next to him and holding the cards for my team. He proceeded to pick up each card and tell me, “ this is a King of hearts, this is a 10 of spades”. Mind you I had just met him for the first time as well as Rebecca and Amy. There were other fond moments that I will cherish forever. I love you Uncle Owen, rest in peace and please give a hug to grandma and grandpa for me.
