Dr. Paige Partridge Hix's Obituary
Paige Partridge Hix, 53, of Fayetteville passed away on November 1st, 2023 after battling brain cancer. She was born on April 20, 1970 in Montgomery, AL to Cody and Trish Partridge. At 10 years old, she made the decision to move to Arkansas since her parents were relocating. Her little brother Clay, age 5 at the time tagged along as well. They made their new home in North Little Rock where she ultimately attended Northeast High School graduating in 1988. She attended Hendrix College from 88-92 and with a bow in her hair and wealth of new knowledge applied and was accepted to UAMS College of Medicine. Her next four years consisted of clinical rotations and many hours in the UAMS Library. Her fourth and final year she was convinced to pursue the field of obstetrics and gynecology. After 4 years of residency and many sleepless nights she began the interview process to determine where she would practice her newly acquired skills. Fortunately for the women of Northwest Arkansas, the partners of Parkhill Clinic recognized a rising star and lured her to the city of Fayetteville.
In 2001, Paige married Robert Hix who brought 2 sons, Justin (now 26) and Austin (now 24), along with the deal. Not long after their vows were made, Paige and Robert added two more children to the mix, Adam (now 21) and Jennings (now 19). Paige finally had another girl in the home. For the next several years Paige invested her time and energy to her family, her children’s schools, and their church. Being the ultimate multitasker, she performed all those duties while developing an incredible career serving the women of Northwest Arkansas.
Her favorite hobby has always been developing relationships and intimate friendships with the people she met along the way. She was the best of the best. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, four children, parents, brother and 2 nieces Mary Kate (21) and Emerson (17). A celebration of life will be held at 10:00am November 3rd at Fellowship Bible Church of Fayetteville. In lieu of flowers, Paige’s family kindly requests donations to the Paige Partridge Hix Memorial Endowed Scholarship fund at UAMS.
