Pamela Stafford Jenkins' Obituary
Pamela Stafford Jenkins, 62 of Fayetteville, AR went to be with Her Lord on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, AR. She was born November 24, 1948 in Clifty, AR to Billie Junior Stafford and Jessie Jewell (Isley) Stafford.
Pam graduated from Huntsville High School and the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where she received her Registered Nursing degree in 1979. She worked in many areas of nursing and administration at Washington Regional Medical Center for a total of 29 years. Her most recent position was Employee Health Nurse. Pam loved her work and her co-workers, and planned to work many more years before her premature retirement.
Pam’s biggest joy was her family. While holidays and birthdays were always special, there were many more occasions for her family to celebrate. She always made sure that her family stayed close with organized family functions while making lots of memories. Some of her specialties were colored pancakes, homemade bread and pictures (lots and lots of pictures.)
Pam was preceded in death by her parents Billie Junior Stafford and Jesse Jewell Stafford of Hindsville, AR. She is survived by her husband William C. Jenkins of the home in Fayetteville, AR: One son Darren Phillips of Hindsville, AR; Two daughters and son-in-laws; Latricia Phillips McGhee and Alan McGhee of Harrison, AR. and Laurel Phillips Joe and Robert Joe of Hogeye, AR. and a step son Danny Jenkins of Bosier City, LA. There are also seven grandchildren Kristin Justis and Will Joe of Hogeye, AR., Ian Dyer and Tanner McGhee of Harrison, AR., Emily Phillips of Elkins, AR., Jennifer Joe of West Fork, AR. and Jeremy Joe of Oak Ridge, TN. Two great-grand children, Tyler Joe and Mavrick Joe and one sister and brother-in-law Peggy Stafford Howe and Lloyd Howe of Huntsville, AR. Two nieces and nephew-in-laws Becky Bolinger Disney and Brice Disney of Hindsville, AR., and Natalie Bolinger Mosher and Steve Mosher of London, AR. Great-niece, Erika Elsey and four great-nephews: Derek, Jared, Wyatt and Colte Mosher. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces from the Phillips family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
A Celebration of Pam’s Life will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Christian Life Cathedral in Fayetteville with Reverend Steve Dixon officiating. Reverend Suzanne Stoner will officiate private burial services at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville.
