Patricia "Pat" Puett Cooper's Obituary
Patricia “Pat” Puett Cooper, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She lived a life defined by devotion to her family, service to others, and a warm, generous spirit that touched everyone who knew her.
Born in Eastman, Georgia, Pat was the daughter of Joseph F. Puett and Louise Lietch Puett. She graduated from Sylvan Hills High School in Atlanta and attended the University of Georgia, where she was a proud member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority.
In November 1959, Pat married the love of her life, Robert A. Cooper. Their marriage spanned more than six decades and was built on love, commitment, and shared adventure. As the wife of a career U.S. Army officer, Pat embraced military life while raising their two children, Robert Jr. and Lindsey. The family lived at military assignments throughout the United States and Europe before making Fayetteville their permanent home in 1978.
After settling in Fayetteville, Pat built a successful career in banking before later working with Dr. Bill Dill, DDS, and at Town & Country Shop on the Square.
A longtime member of Central United Methodist Church and Christ Church, Pat was also an active member of the Fayetteville Country Club. She served three years on its Board of Directors and as president of the Fayetteville Country Club Women’s Golf Association. An avid golfer, she treasured the friendships she made on the course and the many rounds they shared together.
Pat and Robert also loved to travel, especially spending many happy years RVing in the Tampa, Florida, area and creating cherished memories along the way.
Above all, Pat’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert A. Cooper; her son, Robert A. Cooper Jr. and his wife, Angelique, of Grapevine, Texas; and her daughter, Lindsey M. Cooper of Bonita Springs, Florida.
Pat will be remembered for her kindness, quiet strength, unwavering faith, and the genuine warmth she shared with everyone she met. Her legacy of love, compassion, and selfless service will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
