Patricia Lee Sherwood Snell's Obituary
Patricia Lee Sherwood Snell, age 89, of Winslow, died Monday, May 3, 2021 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born July 2, 1931 in Los Angeles, the daughter of Dr. William Campbell Sherwood and Frances Neff Sherwood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond Phillip Snell.
Patty was a retired teacher and a member of Our Lady of the Ozarks Shrine in Winslow. She was a graduate of UCLA, Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, and was active in the Winslow community. She was involved with Winslow Community Meals, the Wool and Wheel Handspinners Guild, Ozark Folkways and Winslow Community Development Center.
She is survived by three children: Sheri Funderburk (and Benjamin) of Denver; Tim Snell (and LeAynne) of Winslow; and Chris Snell (and Carla) of West Fork. She had four grandchildren (Ben, Noah, Spike and Kevin), and five great grandchildren. There were numerous others who called her Mom or Grandma, and she lovingly “adopted” them all.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 7th at Our Lady of the Ozarks Shrine in Winslow. Due to Covid restrictions, and the size of the church, it is appreciated if only family, very close friends and parishioners attend.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville.
