Patricia Kaye Sparks' Obituary
Patricia Kaye Sparks, age 71, of Gentry, Arkansas, passed away on October 27, 2023, at Circle of Life Hospice, in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born on April 13, 1952, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Bill Tackett and Helen Virginia (Routh) Teater. Patricia graduated from Springdale High School in 1970. She was the 25th Rodeo of the Ozarks Host Queen in 1969. Patricia spent several years helping the Queen contestants as a former Sweetheart of the Rodeo. She worked for J.B. Hunt as an administrative assistant until her retirement. Patricia won multiple buckles from cowboy action shooting. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Billy Tackett. Patricia is survived by her husband, William “Jerry” Sparks; sisters, Diana Tackett Jones and Holly Tackett Wilson; stepsons, Stephen D. Sparks and Matthew Ryan Sparks; step granddaughter, Alexis Anne Sparks; and step grandson, Cason Williams Sparks.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale.
