My dear Emily,
Never, never forget that your Father loved you very much. Although your years together were all too few, you still had many wonderful times with him, and I know these memories will stay with you as you travel along on your own long and healthy life.
You were such a great gift to both your Dad and your Mom. I remember so well when you were a little baby how your Dad would get up early in the morning to give you your bath and spend as much time with you as he could before rushing off to his job. And no matter how busy or rushed he might be during the day, whenever you would ask him "How's Emily?" he would get a radiant smile on his face and say "Great!"
Your Dad was truly a "gentle" man and his warm and kind manner touched so many of us during the years of our friendship. His time with us was all too brief, nonetheless, it was quality time and I know that any of us who have known him will never forget him.
And remember, too, you are fortunate to have your own special Guardian Angel up in heaven watching over you as you grow and get along with your own busy life. And I know he'll be there cheering you on and saying "That's my girl!"
Our thoughts will be with you and your Mom during these very difficult months ahead.
With loving thoughts,
Joan and Jim Wimberly
