Patsy I. Galbraith's Obituary
Patsy I. Galbraith
Died Monday January 26, 2026.
Born March 17, 1955 in Berryville Arkansas. Patsy was the middle of three daughters of Paul and Mary (Miller) Spencer.
She graduated from Springdale High School in 1973. Attended UAMS School of Nursing and entered the nursing profession. She started her career as an ER and surgical nurse. Then, she served as a clinical nurse for Dr. Morris Henry. She loved this and subsequently ventured into the field of corneal harvesting, and shared multiple stories about her work there. Finally, she was a Washington Regional Medical Center Hospital nurse until her retirement.
Personally, Patsy was comfortable in the heart of New York City, lounging on Beaver Lake or floating the Kings River. She was involved with the university of Arkansas‘ Spring International Program, housing foreign exchange students. For over a decade, multiple nationalities and cultures were welcomed into her home. Some became friendships for a lifetime. And it was a life well lived.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Kathy Johnson.
She has survived by husband, William Palkowsky (Fayetteville), son Micah Galbraith (Eldorado, Arkansas), sister Marilyn Runions (Fayetteville), nephews Larry Johnson and Jake Pineo, and niece Melissa (Johnson) Chavero
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be announced in the spring.
All memorials and donations to Circle of Life Hospice; Springdale, AR.
