Paul Kirkman's Obituary
Paul L. Kirkman, 87, of Farmington, Arkansas passes away peacefully on February 3, 2016. He was born April 18, 1928, in North Platte, Nebraska to Robert and Velna Kirkman. Paul joined the Navy in 1946 and served in the Panama Canal zone as well as in Korea during the Korean War. He graduated in 1954 from the University of Nebraska and remained a die-hard Huskers fan his entire life. He worked for 36 years as a claims adjuster for Liberty Mutual Insurance. He was a 49 year member and elder of First Christian Church in Lubbock, Texas, and long time member of the Lubbock Tennis Association and Southern Plains Claims Association.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lois Kirkman of Farmington, Arkansas; a daughter, Robin Mauermann and Hood of Houston, Texas; a son Kevin Kirkman and Becky, along with 5 grandchildren, of Farmington, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews. Services for Paul will be Tuesday, February 9, at Moore's Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Fayetteville National Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Funeral Chapel.
