Paul Joseph Lucier Sr.'s Obituary
Paul Joseph Lucier Sr. was born on September 24, 1941, in Worcester, Ma. He passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, in Fayetteville Arkansas.
At age 17 he joined the United States Coast Guard as a Sonarman and learned electronics. With his Coast Guard knowledge, he later worked for General Dynamics Electric Boat in 1966 building nuclear Polaris submarines. He spent 30 years in Research and Development for Northrop Grumman and retired in 1995.
He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Anne Lucier, one brother Philip Lucier, and one sister, Elaine Lucier Josey and her husband, Bob Josey.
Paul is survived by his wife, Laura Lessig Lucier of Fayetteville, Arkansas, by one brother, Joseph A. Lucier, and one sister, Marilyn Lucier Fallavolita.
His sons Joseph, Jonathan and Paul Lucier Jr. and stepson, Houston Murillo, daughters-in-law Deb Martin Lucier, Jean Lucier and Ana Murillo. Eight wonderful grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Paul's greatest blessing in life was family, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was born and raised as a Catholic; In 1995, he re-committed his life to Christ, and he was guided by his faith for the remainder of his life. His favorite hymn was "I heard the bells on Christmas Day" and verse was Matthew 6:6.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Farmington First Baptist Church. The memorial service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM under the direction of Moore’s Chapel Funeral Home. There will be an additional memorial service in Massachusetts for family and friends at a later date.
