Pearl Catherine Shafer 71, of Springdale, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2007 in Springdale. She was born June 28, 1935 in Leavenworth, Kansas. The daughter of Joseph and Pearl (Cooley) Gabrick. She was a homemaker, loving mother, wife and friend to all.She is survived by her husband Howard I. Shafer of the home, two sons; Joseph D. Shafer of Springdale, Arkansas, Charles Lee Shafer of Springdale, Arkansas, two daughters; Charlene K. Brace of Springdale, Arkansas, Jamie P. Sanford of Fayetteville, Arkansas, fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at the Fayetteville National Cemetery, with Pastor Randy Brown officiating. Pallbearers will be Joe Shafer, David Fry, Kenneth Burk, Tony McGarrha, Mickey Wolfe and Brian Dunter.Visitation was private.Arrangements are by Nelson-Berna Funeral Home and Crematory of Fayetteville.
