Pearl Catherine Young's Obituary
Pearl Catherine Young, 83 of Fayetteville, AR passed peacefully from this life at home on the most beautiful of Memorial Days surrounded by those she loved. She was born May 7, 1921 in Hugoton, KS the loving daughter of Marie and Samuel Young.
Pearl worked as a book keeper for the civil service until retirement. She devoted her life to taking care of her mother and others in her family and her passing is marked with great sadness.
Pearl?s final years were spent being cared for by some of God's Angels on Earth, Wanda Thomas, Sharry Kidd, Carol Knox, and Janice Friend. Special thanks to Fe and Maura.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Melvyn Young of St. Louis and Virgil Young of Dallas, Texas.
She is survived by her cherished sister, Marie Ford of Edmonton, Canada, one niece Maureen Ford of Toronto, Canada, three nephews, Dwayne Ford of Edmonton, Canada, David Young of Mabank, TX, Dennis Young of St. Louis, MO, and lifelong friends, Irma Watson and Jo Dean Downum "Tow-Head" Clark.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2004 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Central United Methodist Church at 6 West Dickson Street in Fayetteville with Reverend Gary B. Lunsford officiating. Burial will follow on Friday, June 4, 2004 at 2:00 PM in Laurel Hill Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
Memorials may be made to any charity to benefit the care of animals.
