Preston "Gibby" Young, Jr.'s Obituary
Preston “Gibby” Young, Jr., 80, passed peacefully away on Saturday, August 19th, 2023, at the Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Gibby was born on October 24, 1942 in El Dorado, Arkansas. He was a graduate of El Dorado High School. He is pre deceased by his father, Preston Young, Sr., his mom, Ann Culp Young, his sister Lucy Young Greenwood of Vienna, Virginia, and his beloved wife, Patricia Daughtridge Young. He is survived by his children, Beth Owen of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Jennifer Baker of Springdale, Arkansas, Tracy Young of Houston, Texas; and his two grandsons, Alexander Matthew Baker, and Samuel Gibson Baker. Gibby was a great family man, was a loving father, and adored his wife. He resided in Fayetteville, Arkansas for the last 31 years. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 16th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception at the First United Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association are appreciated.
