So sorry for your loss. Your family will be in my prayets5
I so fondly remember Unlce Ralph from our yearly visits to Arkansas. He was always kind and I thought he was so smart because he was a Nurse. We loved to spend time in Fayetteville with Uncle Ralph and Aunt Jean and our favorite cousins. He made the best creamed peas and new potatoes! (At least I always attribute that dish to him). When I was in my early 20's, I ended up with a fish hook firmly lodged in my chin while fishing at Grandad's pond. This was the work of my sister who was wildly swinging her line around. The calvary was called in, in the form of Uncle Ralph. After he finished laughing, he told me I would have to go to the hospital in Fayetteville to have it removed and then proceeded to tell me in complete detail how a doctor would have to push the hook completely through my chin to expose the barbs, then cut off the end. Uncle Ralph was as cool as a cucumber but he scared me to death and I thouht I was going to faint! As predicted... that's exactly what happened! This confirmed my notion that he was pretty smart! He and Clara came to New Mexico for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary and we were so surprised and happy to have them. It was wonderful that they drove all that way for my Mom and Dad's special night.I wish the family joy as they rediscover loving memories and peace as they move forward.Uncle Ralph will be missed.
Ralph was always a good brother-in-law. I met him in 1953 when I first arrived in the United States from England. He met us at the bus station and my husband Harold and I went to his house. Eugene was just a little boy, about five years old.He always treated me very well. I enoyed knowing him. Our kids grew up together on the Tucker farm, where we visited every summer. We were all very close.Harold and I were so thrilled that he and Clara came for our 50th Wedding Anniversary in Farmington, NM. It was so much fun to spend time with them.He will now be with his brother, Harold, who will be happy to be reunited with him.Rest in Peace.
