Randy Joe Cox's Obituary
Randy Joe Cox, 63, of Springdale, Arkansas, gained his independence on Saturday, July 4, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer he went to sleep with his wife by his side and stepped into heaven.
Randy was born on June 9, 1963, to Larry Joe and Saundra Kay Cox. He was preceded in death by both of his parents.
On December 21, 1983, Randy married the love of his life, Sandra Cox. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and raising their three children.
Randy is survived by his devoted wife of more than 42 years, Sandra Cox; his children, Jessica Bull and husband Nathan, Stephanie (Annie) Bennett and partner Mitchell, and Michael (Mac) Cox and wife Jesse. He was a proud grandfather to Hunter, Arlen, and Leah Bull, and Roran Bennett. And his beloved dog children Sadie and Jr.
He is also survived by his siblings and siblings-in-law, Penny Cox, Timothy Cox, Angela (Dee) Burmeister, Paul Moreland, Mark Moreland, Karen Oliveira, and Jonathan Moreland.
Randy was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Centerton. After an earlier career, he answered the call to education and spent 20 years as a math teacher. He had a gift for making math understandable and was known for his quick wit, playful sense of humor, and the genuine care he showed his students.
Above all, Randy was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and math teacher. He treasured time with his family, delighted in his grandchildren, and lived a life marked by faith, kindness, and laughter. His steady presence, generous heart, and unwavering love for those around him will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Visitation will be held at Robinson Avenue Church of Christ in Springdale, Arkansas on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. A private graveside service will be held for the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Randy Cox to Dallas Theological Seminary or Show Hope, organizations that were meaningful to Randy and his family.
