Ray K. Stonesifer's Obituary
Mr. Ray K. Stonesifer, 83 of Winslow, AR passed away Sunday, November 9, 2003 in his home. He was born December 4, 1919 in Winslow, AR to William B. and Emma Pearl (Caudle) Stonesifer.
He was a retired welder for Campbell Soup Company, a fifty year member of the Free and Accepted Mason's, a member of the Summit Masonic Lodge #530 in Winslow, an avid gardener, and a protestant.
Mr. Stonesifer was also a Army Veteran of World War II serving from 1942-1945 in the 8th Engineering Squadron as a combat engineer. He was stationed much of his time in the Southwest Pacific.
He was preceded in death by his siblings Bruce Stonesifer and Juanita Preston.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Marjorie, his children; Donna Bloyed of Fayetteville, AR, Bill R. Stonesifer of Farmington, AR, Patty Pogue of Brentwood, AR, Betty Stonesifer Martin of Ft. Smith, AR, his grandchildren; Tracy Sargent, Laura Hampton, Lauren Stonesifer, Dustin Van Camp, Erica Hampton, Nickki McKinney, and his great grandchildren; Bethany Shea, and Hunter Sargent.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2003 from noon until 9:00 PM with the family present to greet friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 13, 2003 at 10:00 AM in Nelson-Berna Funeral Home Chapel in Fayetteville with Rev. Ervin Hutchins officiating. Private burial services will be held at Woolsey Cemetery in West Fork.
Pallbearers will be Richard Buss, Malcolm McKinney, Don Evans, Damen Castell, Richard Reed, Gary Reed, and Hugh Caudle.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of The Summit Masonic Lodge #530.
Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society.
