Reba P. Jordan's Obituary
Reba P. Jordan, age 92, of Fayetteville passed away Thursday May 2, 2019 in Fayetteville. She was born October 18, 1926 in Palestine, Arkansas the daughter of A.T. “Dode” and Wilma Hudspeth Prince. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John E. Jordan, a sister Freda Prince, a brother George Prince and a brother-in-law Oscar Martin.
She married John Edward Jordan in 1945 and together they worked and farmed cattle until his death in 2004. They were married for 59 years. She retired from the VA Medical Center after 30 years of service and continued farming cattle until she retired at age 75. She loved her family and her home was a hub for family gatherings. She loved cooking and gardening. Through her quiet dignity, she lived a good life of hard work, honesty and kindness.
She is survived by her sister Elizabeth Martin of Palestine, Arkansas; three daughters Donna Jordan McNeill and husband Dan of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Bobbye Jordan and Rita Jordan Holmes both of Farmington and sister-in-law Rosie Prince of Palestine, Arkansas. She also leaves behind three grandchildren Michael Toney Warren and Lindsay Toney Dicamillo both of Prairie Grove and Jamie McNeill Stallone of St. Francisville, Louisiana; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and many cousins and nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank her physician Dr. Mark Miller, Washington Regional Hospice and her caretaker Sylvia Trejo.
Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Monday May 6, 2019 at Moore’s Chapel with Funeral Service starting at 12:00 p.m. with burial to follow at the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
